Professor Yasemin Kulak Özkan, Dean and Head of the Department of Prosthetics at Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey, with his collaborators, through the book Complete Denture Prosthodontics. Treatment and Problem Solving offers all the information and guidance needed to successfully implement in edentulous patients the complete dentures treatment, after a proper treatment planning. The book is structured in four parts, over eleven chapters.
In the first part, Tooth Arrangement and Try-in, in four chapters, the reader is informed on the selection and arrangement of the anterior and posterior teeth, on the evaluation of try-in stage and the remounting process and on the occlusal adjustment of dentures on the articulator and into the mouth.
In the second part, Post Insertion Problems, in two chapters the short – and long-term post-insertion problems are identified, giving clear explanations on how to solve them.
In the third part, Stress-Reducing Materials for Complete Dentures, in two chapters is presented information about tissue conditioner materials and how to use stress-reducing materials for complete dentures.
In the last part, Different Techniques for Problem Cases, in three chapters, are approached the techniques that can be used in problematic cases, from variants of single complete dentures (SCD) to duplicate dentures and managing the edentulous dry mouth.
