Planning and Decision-Making which is a guide not only for dental students but also for dentists to successfully implement the treatment with complete dentures in edentulous patients. The book has three parts, divided in eight chapters.
The two chapters of first part, Introduction to Complete Dentures, first identify the anatomical landmarks and the age-related changes in edentulous geriatric patients, and then explain how to evaluate them.
The four chapters of the second part, Pre Prosthetic Planning and Impression Procedures, inform the reader on the pre-prosthetic mouth preparation, the choice of impression techniques according to the impression material selection, the diagnostic impressions and the custom-made trays, and finally detail the anatomical landmarks and the impression taking in complete dentures.
The two chapters of the last part, Establishing Occlusal Relationship, tackle the recording of maxillomandibular relations, the types of mandibular movements, the concepts of occlusion and the laws of dental articulation.
The Complete Denture Prosthodontics Book. Planning and Decision-Making is clearly written and in order to provide better clarification to the reader it contains a lot of high quality photos from the exceptional clinical experience of the authors.
